New to Group
Hey guys! I don't think I've actually introduced myself yet...so hi!
Turns out i was the first kid in CT to by an ipod mini. Well, I've never owned an ipod, so my questions that I ask may sound quite dumb. I'm really happy to FINALLY be on the board!! My mom and dad just let me sign up.
moving on...
I have some questions:
I luv my mini to pieces, and I dont want to scratch the wheel or screen. Should I buy a case that covers the screen??
Does that 3gen ipod cleaner (iClean?) work on the mini's screen?? :confused:
And... What did you guys name your ipods or minis and what do you think would make a good name?

Hi, I'm a new iPod (mini) owner too.
I'm not worried about hurting my mini, as it seems to be of very solid build quality. Just have it in my pocket, and it seems to be safe as can be.
And I won't name my mini. :|

I am pretty sure that they haven't come out with a custom screen protector for the mini yet. Your best bet to preserve your screen would be to buy a PDA screen protector(s) at an electronics outlet. You would have to cut it down to size, but it would be worth it in the long run to prevent scratches.
As far as I know, iCleaner works on any plastic surface, so yes, it would work.
I can't help you with a name... You make one! Originality is what makes them fun if you want a name for your iPod and you're into that sorta thing.
P.S. I think The Lounge is a better place for these type of threads (be careful in the future). :)

I also suggest getting a case, or at least something that covers it up a bit...
I like Lajo cases personally, and BTW if you do get a case, look up www.lajo.biz, but it might not be a good choice...seeing as 90% of his cases are colored.

I definitely agree with the PDS screen protector. For just a few bucks, you can make a big difference to the life of the screen. [and resale value!] It can be trimmed right to size, so you wouldn't even see it.
And since some questions were asked, I am not moving this to the lounge. :)

That's a good idea about the PDA screen protectors...I'm gonna have to try that.
