iPhone= Apple Pod With Mobile Phone Inside

i'm sure it's been thought of before, frankly i wouldn't mind having it two in one.. as long as they improve the battery time and make it not so fragile

Wired (I think) did a mock up of an iPhone and and iVideo in one of their recent issues. They did their's with touch buttons for the numbers, but another way would be to "hide" the numbers under the scroll wheel and have them appear (light up) when you were in phone mode.

Eh... Not good though. I would see an attachment of some sort...Antenna/speaker on top, mic goes through firewire on bottom.

i personnally think it would be the worst product ever... a rectangular phone...

Well I have!
If I were to making the Ipod I would have it by using the headphones. On the remote an answer and end button. Not sure about the dial buttons but you may get them on. (More buttons easier to use. I suppose)

Me again. I just might have had the best Idea for having the Ipod as a phone you could have it so you can track it, for the purpose of finding it if some little SH** HEAD goes and steals it. You could go online and say to apple that your Ipod has been nicked, type your code in (that you got with your Ipod) and the police will go and pick it up for you and hopefully go and kick sh** out of the SH** HEAD in the process. By the way if you are worried it would be used for bad (i.e. being used by some clever little SH** HEAD) you can already be tracked if you have a cell phone or GPS device anyway.

I use a phone/pda. Today, only a few "convergence devices" stand out. But if they will be able to resolve evry isue well, I would love an iPod/phone/pda! Perhaps in the not-so-near future? Coz apple has yet to improve the iPod. I've got too many to mention upgrades for the iPod itself. More so for a pda/phone. It's just a not yet happening soon for me.

I think it would be great. Of course the design would have to change. But how about a flip ipod? Then it would be easy to use as a phone as well. It could have a rotating screen like some of the camera phones have, so when you are using it as an mp3 player, you can see the screen. Of course, you would have to open it to use the controls, but there are always give and takes. I personally would love it. But, like someone pointed out, I wouldn't want the battery life to be any worse.
