old school itrip issue

I just picked up an old-style itrip with the firewire stub and it worked pretty well for me, until I started fidgeting with it and seem to have pressed the little things that look like buttons on the sides of the unit. Now not working. any idea what I did? What station should it broadcast on? I can't catch it. I looked and looked online for help but it seems that there's a newer version out which is all that anyone seems to talk about.
is there a manual I can download for this version that's hiding somewhere?

Those 'buttons' are just grips so you can pull the iTrip out easier. Unless you really pushed them quite hard - as in caved in the unit - that's not the problem.

How is it not working? Is the LED coming on (meaning that its getting power)?

Is the metal ring around the iTrip plug intact? Are the metal parts around the headphone port of your iPod intact? If your not sure on that one, try your iPod remote. If that works, your iPod is fine.

itrip ring is intact around the jack and the little blue led comes on and is steady on, so there's power there. Just no more music. I've been up and down the dial on manual too.

thoughts?
