connect ipod to 2002 Nissan Pathfinder w/bose 6 disc changer
I am trying to find out what I need to connecct my ipod to my 2002 Nissan pathfinder w /bose 6 disc changer. I have tried a fm transmitter and I would like to connect it to one of the audio outs on the back of the changer. If anyone can help me, or point me towards an article or review on how to do this it would be much appreciated. thanks.

Check out the following manufacturers to see if they have a product for the Pathfinder:
http://blitzsafe.com
http://ice-link.com
http://pac-audio.com
If it's anything like the Bose in my Infiniti, you'll likely have to install an adapter in the back of the stereo. All three companies listed above have products slated for Nissan/Infiniti, but none of them are out yet for my particular model (G35). They may have something for an 02 Pathfinder though.
Good luck.

Thank you so much for the reply to my post. The Ice-link would work, but it is expensive, and I just want the connector to the back of the changer, basically exactly what you did to your infinity. What you were able to do to your infinitti was very cool. The other sites didn't offer products for nissan, but I appreciate them anyways they are great resources.
thanks, Kloh
Any other help out there would be very appreciative. thanks

Can you clarify something for me? Do you have an in-dash changer or do you want to plug something into a CD changer harness near the trunk? If it's the latter, there currently aren't any products available for Nissan/Infiniti that I've been able to find. I've been looking for the same thing for my Infiniti -- which actually is just using an FM transmitter right now. As soon as one of those adapters comes on the market, I'll be doing the "plug directly into the back of the stereo" thing.

My bose 6 disc changer is the in dash changer that comes with the pathfinder, and has the built in tape too. My friend who has an audi a4 was able to get an adadpter that tricks his in dash bose 6 disc changer to thinking his ipod is another disc changer that plugs into the standard audio out (red and white) on the back of the changer. He then essentially has a direct connection into the back of his changer for his ipod, which a belkin tune dock holds so that he can control it. I want to do the exact same thing, but I am not sure what adapter he used and he can't remember, so if i can't figure it out we might open up his dash and check it out. I don;t know if it would work for the pathfinder anyway. So that is what I want to do.
Anyone has any information that owuld be great. thanks

Ah. Unfortunately, I don't know anything about that kind of setup. Good luck though. Post findings when you have something though.

I'm trying to figure out basically the same thing with my Infiniti. Mine is the Bose headunit with controls for a cd changer. I know that you need a harness to hook up the CD Changer, but I am not sure how to get the, in my case, mini hooked up to the stereo system.

Asian_No2, What year/model Infiniti do you have? From the sound of it, you have controls for CD on your head unit, but currently do not have a changer?
