There are lots of different ways to find out how to work things. here is my list [in order of reccommended way to do things]

1. READ THE GODDAMN MANUAL THAT CAME WITH THE iTrip!
2. GO TO THE GRIFFIN WEBSITE AND READ THE FAQs!
3. LEARN TO SEARCH THE FORUMS!

If you still can't find out how to do it, please PM me and i will go through it with you step by step. In fact, I will set up a website just to show you how to do it.

ok, first, set your volume to about 80%

2. find a channel on the radio that is pure static.

3. select the same channel on your ipod.

4. when you select it, play it and wait until it blinks rapidly and then hit pause, then wait until it blinks 3 times slowly.

5. go find your song and play it, if that doesnt work, well then.........good luck.........

Wow, that really wasn't neccessary. Actually, the iTrip manual and website were useless to me. I just had to have MMJB to make iTrip work. I personally think MMJB is a flaming pile of crap. So I went on the CD that came with the iTrip and pulled off the MP3 control files myself and made my own playlist of them on the iPod. Give that a shot, see if that helps any.

took me ages to figure this one out, I thought we must have different radio waves here in the UK or since we are illegal using them the government had jigged the waves a bit... any how the first thing if your car radio has auto station seek, just scan between 90 and 100 where the best FM signals lie, Note if it hops any obvious frequency bands. Say you get a gap between stations at 94.7 and 95.3, browse to you griffin stations at 94.9, 95 or 95.1 select the one you fancy, with the track stopped hit play and you should see the progress bar roll and the little red light goes into a strobe. I gave up counting as Griffin advise, as soon I see it go frantic I hit pause which is never more than 1/3 the way across. now navigate back up the menu to your music click on any song you know ..especially one which is unpopular and unlikely to be on radio, then on your radio station finder get back to a channel near 93 then hop forward until you recognise your song it should happen around the turn of 95.

like the other writer i made a play list for Itrip stations the name prefixed z- so it is my last playlist so I can quickly find my stations, i also set Griffin as a composer listing for all iTunes stations and in iTunes run smart playlists that exclude griffin so i dont get the biddly bip whilst groovin' along.

When I first got my iTrip I had months of misery trying to choose and set the frequency where i wanted it to transmit to one thing i found though the transmitter in the iTrip is quite strong and will blank out a weak radio station, I found trying to find a quiet frequency was just a night mare. Now I just go fishing and it usually works

I must have had it very easy with mine.
Put the CDRom that came with the iTrip in my PC. It autoran and loaded all the frequency files into a playlist in MusicMatch. Copied the playlist to my iPod and then I followed the instructions that came in the box. I chose a free frequency on the car radio, found the frequency on the playlist and pressed the buttons in the correct sequence. It worked first time. As it is I ended up using the default setting of 87.9 as it is a clear frequency and works just fine in Manchester (UK).

I had an easy time for the most part, talk an hour (a search of these forums) to realize I needed to put the volume at 80%!

Nixie21, that information was stated in the iTrip manual.

simon hutchings: It's easy for MMJB users, it's the proverbial ##### for others.
