V700s vs. Eggo Pros, vs. ...?
I currently have a pair of Sony V700s, and a friend of mine has offered to buy them off of me for $60-70 US (I paid $100 for them), and I'm considering getting rid of them. I can get the Sony Pro Eggos for $100. Money isn't really a problem for me, but I was wondering how the sound of thePro Eggos would compare to the V700s? Or, if you don't think the Pro Eggos are any good, what would you reccomend?
I listen to all kinds of music, from Blues, to Rap, to Classic Rock, etc., and I am looking for clear, strong bass, crisp highs, and a versatile sound, for less than $200. What would you reccomend? Keep the V700s (doubtful)? Get the Pro Eggos? Or something completely different?

Get the Sennheiser HD25-1 (not the SP). They don't fold but are pretty small and have the best sound in a very portable package. They also go really well with the sonic characteristics of the iPod. Being supraaural (sits on your ears) they will pinch for a while, but it's worth getting used to.

No I wouldn't. You buy an iPod because it's portable. No need to carry something extra. I would suggest for your budget that rather than pairing a mediocre phone with an amp (which simply gets you louder mediocrity) invest instead in a high quality sounding phone with strong bass, clear highs and high sensitivity... the HD25-1.
