Has anyone made an adapter from the dock port to make it a headphone port? This would give better sound quality for people that really care that much about it. Of course you'd use a headphone amp to replace the iPod one you just bypassed.
I'm gonna rip apart my dock to see if I can take the line-out part and put it in a nice lil' Radioshack project case and voila better quality!
