headphone amp?

i am interested in finding the perfect blend of richness in my ipod ...i want to get the most out of the sound quality of my ipod...how can i do this and what and where can i get a headphone amp?

I'd recommend doing some searches & reading over at the Head-Fi (http://www.head-fi.org/) Forums.
Also check out the headphone and headphone-amp products over at HeadRoom (http://www.headphone.com).

You can try building one yourself: cmoy pocket amp (http://www.tangentsoft.net/audio/cmoy-tutorial/) Also, take a look at the Xin Super Micro, Super Mini and upcoming Super Dual:
Xin's Cool Stuff (http://www.fixup.net/products/index.htm)
But as AndyH suggested, you'll probably want to start off by doing some research at Head-Fi. There will be a lot of information to sift through but it will be worth it if you find the sound you're looking for.

I also suggest reading around at head-fiHowever, I think you should pay someone, such as MisterX, to build an amp for you.

Another vote for Headroom. Check out their site...they can fit about any budget you have with the best headphone sound to be had at that pricepoint....sT
