Burning and Ripping
Is it possible to burn a perfectly music CD in iTunes and use that burned CD to Rip those songs into iTunes? Will the sound quality degrade? I'm planning to make backups of all my cd's and in case I lost some of it, I can get rip the songs back using the burned backup?
Primary concern is the copyright law, will it let me rip the burned cd into iTunes again using AAC codec? Second, will the sound quality be different?
Thank you for looking!

Yes, it will degrade the sound due to the fact that your going from AAC to WAV and back to AAC. Since your backing up your songs, I highly suggest you burn a data disk, because it will keep your songs in AAC and you could fit more songs on a single disk like around 190 songs/cd.

Sorry, I didn't ask the question properly. I intend to burn the original cd to make ANOTHER same exact CD first. Than, I take the original cd and rip it into iTunes.
In other words, I'm asking if an EXACT copy of a orginial audio cd can have the same quality riped. Thanks

CDs are exact copies of each other. AAC files are not exact copies of CDs. When you convert between exact copies you get exactly the same thing. Otherwise you loose quality.
