My Own Radio Station
Did something different with my Ipod the other day, thought it was cool enough to share.
Went to wash my truck the other day, and wanted to bring the tunes with me. The only thing was that I didn't want to get the Ipod wet or knocked around while I was furiously trying to get my truck clean in the time alloted by the quarters I put in.
I remembered that I had a water resistant FM tuner with headphones that is so small and light I can clip it to my shirt.
So my Ipod with Itrip became my own little radio station. I tuned the radio into my Itrip freq, and listened to the tunes while I washed away, with the Ipod safe and sound in the truck.
Now mind you it wasn't a PERFECT solution, as I couldn't get too far away from the truck, but it worked pretty well.

The only question I have about iTrips and other transmitting devices is: Doesn't the FCC require a licence or something for broadcasts? I thought that you needed a license to transmit over publicly accessible frequencies? For example channels 14-22 on those little walkie-talkie things require a license.

From the Griffin iTrip web site:
Operating range: 10-30 feet, depending on the quality of the FM radio receiver (limited by FCC regulations)
