A sad story that happened to my friend today, sob sob !

Well, just to give you the basic scenario me and my best friend (both have Ipods) were getting ready to write mid term exams, so I told him that after exams I will meet him at the cafeteria to discus each others success in the test, I wished him luck and we split off to our designated class.
After 2hrs sitting and writing, the exams were finally over. As I promised I waited him at the cafeteria. Then after about 15 minute he arrives, he sits down across of me, I saw how ####ed he was, I asked ?y r u ####ed?, he replied that during the exam review (its when ur allowed to review some stuff before actual exam starts, lasts about 10 min) he was listening to ipod since he knew the material very well he decided to use the 10 minutes to listen to some music. The teacher came up to him and asked him to hand over the ipod, in spite of the shock he got, he had no choice but to do it, remember it?s a privet school. If you argue with the teacher things just get worse, so then after the exams he had to stay behind and get a lecture on proper time management especially during an exam, my friend said that the mentally ######ed teacher thought he had recorded some sort of answer speech of him self and she was afraid that he would cheat during the exams. I was laughing very hard and felt very sorry for him since he got his ipod taken away from him, the school called his parents and told them what happed. His parents were laughing to, they even had to cover the phone so the principle won?t hear the noise. The school said that they have the right to hold his positions (ipod) till Friday, that?s about a week from today, I felt very angry my self cause these teachers have no idea how much it cost and u have no idea what they do to it. They may be listening to it right now!
Now my friend is very depressed because he never expected that to happen and there?s nothing u can do about it, because it?s a privet school and they have strict rules. But I let him use my ipod during the day to make his pain ease a bit, since he has about 6 days to go till he gets his back... even if the school forgets to give him back he will buy another one, so he has nothing to loose.

I hope you enjoyed reading this funny unlike a weird story that happened today at school. I just wanted to share something that usually happens to us ipoders so be aware don?t listed to music during exam prep!!! Lol tnx

Unfortunate... but I gotta admit...

Perhaps this is just the "goodie two shoes" student in me talking, but...
I see no reason to use an iPod for 10 minutes during any class... especially on an exam day, and especially when the instructor is talking. :D

I'm obsessed with music as much as anyone here, but we all need to respect and be mature about when it's appropriate to listen. :D

Let's assume he was listening to test review (great idea actually). What's wrong with that during a review session? If he keeps the earbuds in when the test starts, then you have a problem. Sounds like the teacher is either a) paranoid, b) a Luddite who doesn't believe you can use technology to study, c) just plain mean or d) jealous.

He bought another iPod! What happen when he gets his other one back...or did he get it back? I would have had my parents jump the principles shiat for that. You say it was a 10 min review session? THe super had no reason to take it UNLESS your friend was listening to it during the review session. I would not have bought a new one and if the skool lost it the skool bought it AND me a new one! Course in this case I would be the parent.

I can't believe your friend... I don't have my iPod yet, but I am already testing how much is allowed in the university library before my iPod will get taken away..

By the way you describe your friend he sounds like a stupid spoiled rich kid that jumps to conclusions and likes to just throw away expensive Items because he can just buy new ones.

Wow, tight regulations in the Netherlands! You'd have to bust out a boom box in most parts of our libraries to have someone say something about it. You really can't listen to headphones in a university library?

I'm not sure yet :) The guy at the front desk is mean. I know regulations on cell phones are tight, for obvious reasons.
I just checked the rules... No walkmans (when were these updated?) but I guess that goes for iPods too :(

YOU ARE NOT |_337. YOU HAVE BEEN P0\/\/|\|3ZD

Although, really nice given them to your friends. (seriousley)

I think if he is rich than, well, Let him buy 5 ipods... He is giving back... (giving the company money, which pays peoples paychecks, and giving apple money also gives them more R&D money).

SO. To the rich spoiled kids out there... BUY TO YOUR HEARTS CONTENTS. BUT.

Know this. YOU DID NOT BUY IT. YOUR PARENTS DID.

Well pared me for my miscalculation spelling its due to the fact that I was in a hurry and I had no choice but to type very fast, without taking any notice in spell checking my writings. I am well aware that some people don?t take the information provided in to believe, but mind you I don?t really care if you take my word in truth. I understand that you have no evidence who I am, and what my life style is. I am sharing something that I thought would occupied most people with their questions, or idea of how others dwell with their lives. With personal information regarded I think no one should take any believe in what people say in the public forums, only try to manipulate their self conscious ideas.:)

Are you serious? This entire post is so poorly written you cannot even make sense of it. You are using completely incorrect words in your sentences! Your grammar is terrible. I can except this if your native language is not English? Please tell me it isn't?!?
But you expect us to believe that you are an honour roll student.
Maybe that is the problem.

I am not trying to put you down, especially for being rich. That is great, you are fortunate and if I were in your shoes I'd buy 10 iPods. So no problems there. It is just your writing is so bad!

Lol ! Well I did expect some of you to exploit your self?s, and say something like that. But literally some of you have the problem understanding how to properly formulate the sentence structure, by using the so called ?technical? words to lessen the paragraph and to profane better understanding to the reader.

I just have one more question for you, do any of you know what CEO stands for?? :)

I've watched this thread go from a story to a "rich-vs-poor" quarrel. It should have been closed then.

Now, this thread has degraded into a grammar fight and is *WAY* beyond contributing anything useful, interesting, or enjoyable.

This closure is long overdue.
