a couple of months ago, my ipod suddenly stopped being recognized by both windows and itunes, nothing in disk management etc, after reading a bunch of solutions (reset, different ports, trying my laptop and desktop) i took it to a apple store, and they got it to work on a mac via a firewire port, so i bought the firewire cable, and voila it worked again. However firewire doesnt allow for it to be powered/charged while connected to the pc.

the weird thing is, it wont work on usb, it won't charge via the wall charger (also usb) it WILL charge usuing a car charger, and it WILL charge via my i home radio/alarm clock.

Anyone have any ideas as to why and how to fix my usb issues with it. Because right now i need to transfer my 60gb of songs back to my pc, and i can't get it to stay charged for the duration of the transfer
