Guggenheim or MoMA?
So it's February vacation, and my parents have decided to go on an impromptu 4 day trip to NYC. If we can only go to one art museum (due to time) should it be the Guggenheim or the Museum of Modern Art? I vote for the Guggenheim but only because of Frank Lloyd Wright.

I would say the Guggenheim, but only because of FLW. Otherwise I would to the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Art. Now I'm leaning towards MoMA because it has so much more art, at least by the artists I'd like to see (Picasso, Dali and Warhol...)

Call me a philistine but the contents of the Guggenheim had me asking WTF?
A whole floor dedicated to photographs of hands?...
A "sculpture" made out of fishing line?...
A very large white panel which looked like someone had started to decorate a wall with paint?...
Ditto but with black paint...
A lump of acrylic.....
Modern art - Bah!!
The actual building was more interesting...
...Just.

Completely agreed. I simply recommended it because they were having the FLW exhibit there. Otherwise, I'd steer clear of the place.
