How to Disable Automatic Comment Writing in EAC?

I've been ripping CDs using EAC the last couple of days, and while EAC is a great application, I've noticed that it is automatically inserting the CD track number in the comment field of the ID3 tag. Is there any way to disable this automatic addition and keep the comment field clear?

Thanks!

It may have to do with the stuff you put into the additional command line options in the encoding preference. That stuff tags it, so find what is making the comment and remove it.

Why do you rip your CD's by track, its easier to create an image (single file) for further use.

I think its in a EAC > Compressions Options > ID3 Tag, there you can add or delete tags you don't need.!!!

One step further:
EAC > Compressions Options > ID3 Tag > Offset
has the setting you need

Why do you rip your CD's by track, its easier to create an image (single file) for further use. That is highly debatable. I've got *zero* interest in ever burning a single ripped CD, so by track is much preferrable as then the files can be compressed to FLAC, tagged completely, and archived after I generate mp3s from them. Image files are great if you want to treat your rip as a virtual CD, but if you're going to treat it as a collection of tracks, it's just one more step to jump through.

I really doubt any claim that images are easier then tracks. If you are finding EAC confusing try dBpoweramp, which also offers secure ripping. Get the reference version for the best performance.
