What does it mean when another brand "does not support iTunes"?

Does that mean that you can not use your player to load iTunes songs at all? Like if you purchase a Sansa, you can only use it with Rhapsody?

It means you cannot put songs on it that you've purchased from the iTunes Store. But this is the same with every other MP3 player with the iPod as an exception. Basically the bottom line is that iTunes-purchased songs will only work on an iPod.

Can you use iTunes to manage your music though?

Check the guide and/or website for the player.

You could still use iTunes to manage music overall, but other players will also not communicate with iTunes on top of the fact that purchased music will not play/transfer, but if you wanted to you could still use iTunes to organize music on your computer, but you'd have to transfer that music in whatever method(s) that were supported by that player in question. (as long as you had the files in iTunes in a compatible format as well).
