iTunes 7.1 and new properties
Our favorite applescripter Doug hasn't had much sleep since 7.1 came out, he's been a busy bee and already released a couple of scripts pertinent to the new possibilities in 7.1
Check out the developing saga at

and

The "Batch Set Tracks Sorting Tags" script has already saved me lots of time.
Doug, I want to give you my first born baby, OK?

# 1 Re: iTunes 7.1 and new properties
Seems like a good thread for a seeming oddity...
As Doug noted, you can no longer use "set view of front browser window to library playlist 1", so I started futzing around to see what can be used...
Just wondered if this is normal behavior...
I can say "set view of front browser window to (library playlist id 7612 of source id 7436)" and the iPod "main" window (prefs tabs) appears.
But if I say "set view of front browser window to (library playlist id 1514 of source id 42)", iTunes throws an error.
IOW, "set view..." accepts a library playlist for the iPod, but not for iTunes. To get the iTunes library to display, I have to say "set view of front browser window to (user playlist id 3656 of source id 42)"; that is, I have to call a user playlist.
Is that normal behavior? (If not, I'm gonna wait until 7.1.1 to start messin' with scripting, cuz that's just too funky ;-)
