Change name of Ipod??
Hello all, new to the forum.
I've been trying to search all over the forum but cant find a thread close to my question. The search function only works sometimes for me:confused: . If it has been covered please point me in that direction, and no flaming. I have searched LOL
My question is:
How do you change the name assigned to the ipod itself? My father recently gave me his ipod video, but I cant figure out for the life of me how to change the name that it is "registered" under. Every time I sync to itunes it shows the name he assinged ("JORGE & CHARRO") all in caps and I cant stand it.

Hello and welcome to iLounge. This is quite an easy task (don't worry, I am not flaming). Make sure that your iPod is plugged in and iTunes is running. Then, make sure that the iPod is selected in the left pane under devices. Then simply left-click on your iPod's name and wait a second. You will see the iPod's name highlighted in blue, then you can simply type in whatever name you want.
P.S. Don't worry about being heckled, no one will do this unless you ask a really easy question like "how do I copy music to my iPod?" or something similarly simple.

Yeah I some from a couple forums where "newbies" get pounced on for the littlest things, so usually when I'm new to a forum thats how I preface my posts just to cover my own butt LOL
Thanks again for the help. And, in retrospect it does seem like something simple I should have figured out lol.
Ipod is a whole new world to me that I am slowly getting sucked into more and more each day :D
