Ipod Hung?!

hey guys, got a video ipod, 30gb... was listening to a playlist, and its just frozen, with the picture on the screen, and pushing and holding the play button does nothing!! when i plug it into my computer, it just tells me that is corrupt, but cannot correct it, any ideas guys?!

If it's still frozen, just let the battery die out and re-charge it. If that doesn't work, then try the 5 R's.

Hello and welcome to iLounge. Don't worry, you aren't being an idiot. I too am not sure what the 5 R's are but I can name a few:
1. Try resetting your iPod by pressing and holding the menu and select (center) buttons at the time until you see the Apple logo, this may take longer than 10-20 seconds so be patient.

2. After resetting your iPod, try restoring it using the latest version of iTunes. Restoring your iPod will erase everything on it so make sure your music is on your computer as well.

Try doing those two procedures. Even if resetting your iPod works, you should probably restore it as well.

He said that the steps got it sorted out... So I'm assuming that his iPod is working.
