iTunes doesnt load when iPod is connected

When I connect my iPod, iTunes doesn't load even though I have it checked off in the settings in iTunes. Also my new iPod shuffle does the same thing, it is recognized by the computer, but somehow when it is connected iTunes doesn't automatically start. I don't have disk use enabled either. Any ideas why this is happening?

What do you mean you have checked it off? Have you disabled the "Start automatically when iPod is connected" option? If you have, then enable it. If that option is enabled, then are you able to open iTunes when you open it manually? If that doesn't work, try resetting your computer. I have encountered a similar problem, and solved it by restarting my computer. If all the above fail, a reinstallation of iTunes should solve your problem, provided your computer recognizes your iPod.

Yes, the box is checked and I have tried restarting the computer as well... I will try a reinstall of iTunes I guess and see how that fares.radamsk1 at 2007-11-15 12:18:03 >
