WTB broken iPod videos, nanos, or shuffles
Hello,
I'm looking for broken (broken screen, hard drive, casing, ect) iPods. I'm looking for:
Nano (1st or 2nd gen)
Video (any)
Shuffle (1st or 2nd gen)
I'm starting an iPod junkyard/repair service, and have SOME 4th gen, video, and mini parts.

How much would you offer for a 30GB iPod Video with a broken ribbon on the motherboard? The screen and hard drive are still good. Item does not power on.

exactly what ribbon is ripped? Also, is it black or white?

It is black. I ripped something off, and it is stuck on the end of the battery ribbon. I'm not really sure which one it is.

I have a broken 512Mb shuffle that I'll sell. Here's the deal with it:
1) It went through the wash. After this, it would still mount and play when connected to the computer but the battery wouldn't charge and it wouldn't play on it's own.
2) I ordered a new battery, took it apart, and replaced the battery. Now it doesn't mount at all. The wires that go to the battery have since been disconnected from the main board.
I'm done trying to fix it. I'd like to get $12 for it shipped. I'll include the new battery (that cost me $8 itself). Let me know.

I have a green 2nd gen clickwheel, though I think the molex connector is broken somehow, although it doesn't look it. I'm pretty sure all it needs is a new connector as I've swapped the connector with another one and it worked fine. It's not in the best shape as I've taken it out and put it in a couple iPod minis a few times (which scratched it a little bit) so I could confirm the problem was indeed the molex connector. How's $15 shipped sound?

1-Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I've taken it apart but can't decide if it's the drive or the board. Currently it's working but it won't take any music from either a Mac or a PC.
2-Say $75?
3-I'll get some pics to you in a day or two. Physically it's in ok condition, scratches on the back but the front it ok.
I bought it "broken" to mess with but have grown tired of it and don't feel like shelling out the $$ to fix it.

Hey, does anyone have a ribbon cable for a mini clickwheel? I have 2 click wheels, both with ribbon cables that don't work.. LOL

How do you replace the ribbons of the clickwheels? DO you just undo all the screws?

yeah, you undo the screws, and on the bottom of the actual clickwheel, you pop off the little connector, and then un-stickify the center button from the metal plate.
