Favorite Bond Movie?

Hello all,

If you’re a person who loves movies or has had their head in the newspaper recently, you might have figured out that a new James Bond movie has arrived. Here’s ( http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/casino_royale/) a review for Casino Royale from one of my trustworthy review sites. The review is 94% out of 100%. I have not seen the movie yet, but wish to see it as soon as I can.

Basically to get to the point, what was your favorite James Bond movie? I’m anxious to find out what members on this forum liked the most.

So far, I liked Dr. No the best, but I haven't seen Casino Royale yet

Sounds interesting, and looks alot better than "die another day", which I thought was a total flop

I hate to say this but I don't remember many of the Bond movies i saw as a kid. Roger Moore was Bond in my generation, and i remember liking them somewhat, but not being my favorite movies. More recent ones that I liked was Goldeneye. The other Pierce Brosnan ones were so-so, although I thought he did a good job, it was the writing that wasn't too spectacular. Casino Royale was EXCELLENT imho. I enjoyed every minute of it, even though it was lite on gadgets (which I didn't mind) and he didn't use the Aston as much as I wanted. Acting, directing, writing probably the best from all the Bond movies i've seen, although the 3rd act could have been done a little bit better in exposition. Overall I loved it.

Summed up my reaction perfectly, if you replace "lite on" with "completely lacking." And the Sony ads were a bit intense, but that's okay. And the cell phone was really cool... I think it was this (http://www.dynamism.com/sonyericsson-m600/main.shtml) but I'm not sure.

Anyway, it was right up there, along with Goldfinger, which is probably my favorite.

Another vote for Goldfinger (cue really bad impression of the theme song :))

Goldeneye. Gadgets, action, good dialogue. Great film that brought Bond into the modern age.

You Only Live Twice is a close second for me. I like Goldeneye too, not to mention the legendary accompanying game on the N64!

Tomorrow Never Dies and Casino Royale.

Those are mine too. I like the older bonds, they just aren't my favorites.

Goldeneye for sure, me and cousins were total marks for the movie and game from like 1996-2001.
