Is any iPhone Information Available to the Public @FCC.GOV?
Along those lines, has anyone been over to the FCC website to see if technical details such as user manuals have been posted available?

Before new cell phones are available, they must be approved for release by the FCC. Does anyone know whether Apple is the OEM for the iPhone or if the iPhone is simply Apple branded? If we know the OEM, the public can query the FCC docket for any tecnical information that may be available (e.g., draft user manual).

Apple has not yet submitted it to the FCC for approval, but there will be information available at the FCC web site once they do.Steve Jobs stated in his Keynote yesterday that the whole reason the iPhone was being announced now, even though it will not ship until June, is that they now have to seek FCC approval/certification, and he wanted to be the one to announce it before it was leaked out on the FCC's public web site.
