60Gig iPod, cant shut down, cant reset?
I have tried Apple's suggestion on their page about moving the Lock button, and that hasn't worked.
Basically, I had it in sleep mode, all charged up. Took it to work, played it for 20mins and now it won't shut down at all. This happened once before in November '06, and by some miracle it fixed itself after it was recharged.
In addition, in trying to reset the unit per Apple's instructions, it won't reset either.
What should I do??
This lack of an ON/OFF switch is really ticking me off..and is nothing but problems!

Will the iPod pause? If so, pause the music for a minute, and then try shutting it down. The problem is that if the harddrive of the iPod is still spinning, it will not allow you to shut it down.

Never had a problem resetting before. You can't access the battery, so the only thing I can say is you have to leave it unplug from any power source and let it shut down from power drain and hope that it recoveres on its own after a full recharge.
