The first one and the finished image at the second link are seriously the two coolest pictures I've ever seen online. You look at the dot for a while (10 seconds is fine but more is fine too) then move your mouse over the image without moving your eyes.

It's not so much an optical illusion as it is just an after image, but it is still way cool.

It's black and white but you see color. That sounds like an illusion.
You see it. With eyes. That sounds optical.
You put 'em both together and what do you get? Optical illusion.
But you're probably right. But still.
