iPod Nano Skipping Songs

Hi, a lot of you probably know me, I haven't been on the forums much latley because I've been pretty busy. Well anyways,

A friend of mine has an iPod Nano and when she selects a song that song doesn't play and then it skips to another song. How can I fix this for her? Any help is great.

Thanks!

I am wondering if she has synced with a friends computer and is trying to listen to her friends downloaded from iTunes music. I had connected my iPod to a buddies computer and gotten some song that he had grabbed from iTMS. I could listen to his purchased but it would skip right over mine. Upon syncing with my computer my stuff would play and skip his. Just wondering if this might be the problem.

If that is the case, how would I fix that?

She has to delete the friends songs off the iPod, or her friend has to authorize her iTunes.

How do I know which songs are her friends? Could I just take the songs off her iPod using PodUtil, restore her iPod and then update the songs from iTunes?

not sure how you would tell. I would just start by asking her if she has gotten any music from any friends. If she says yes then you have an idea of what the problem might be. If not then the songs could be encoded badly and would need to be deleted and re-ripped.

My mates ipod is also skipping songs. However the songs that his ipod skips are off an album. I've reset the ipod for him and he's took the songs off and put them beck on and it still skips. Does anyone have any ideas. Cheers.
