looks like they qualified for the world cup, they must be quite good,... and they beat England in a friendly :( ... shock horror!!!and i do want england to win the world cup... even if i did vote for the argentines, it's just not a likely occurance... with Crouch and Beckham in the team!

yes. joe cole, harewood, dyer, pennant, can all play on the right as well as in multiple positions. They all offer more than crossing ability (i.e Attacking playmakers)and with crouch (can't header properly) and rooney (plays retreated counter-attacking) up front we need more attacking suporting strikers (owen may not pass fit) .
Beckham's downfall is that he is expert at crossing but have you seen the man shoot properly (apart from set-plays) or pass on the ground? In the world cup we need the extra option of a plan B without the likes of owen and beckham. (seeing what happened in Euro 2004)

ill also post this my explination to why our england team arn't creative and the champions league always is won by teams who finish 4-5 in the premiership (in recent years)agressive (physical) teams who don't play attacking football come top of the premiership whilst more attacking teams win the champions league
maybe this isn't just the case for all teams or positions but you can get my point

agressive= defensive at times, keep the ball, tackle hard etc.flamboant= flashy, counter attacking style etc.

and also that's why under beckham i put 'attacking midfielder from above post' indicating joe cole , pennant etc.i may also be biased toward west ham.. see my userbar :D
liverpool and now arsenal have had success in the champoins league (attacking styles) whilst chelsea and other more conservative teams have done well in the league... the premier league and england side are flawed by the more attacking style of other countries/leagues... do you now see my point

so you wouldn't call bolton and blackburn physical and agressive?
even chelsea (the best team in the premierleague) have found to be physical when faced aganist the 'flamboyance' of Barcelona and faced by a ref who punishes foul play (not metioning the messi- delhorno incident in any way :eek: )
if big sam gets the england job we will be damned for ever more (explanation= bolton=physical)
