iPod problems.

Well I download some songs off limewire ( yes I KNOW my fault ) it was mixtape stuff I couldnt' get my hands on so I downloaded it and it was corrupted. I deleted the files asap and and ran virus stuff found nothing. So I updated my play list before I left for my week long trip and I updated the ipod went on the road ipod worked perfect even with my wireless logitech head phones

2 days later the ipod start skipping songs 1 by 1 then play 1 then skip 3 - 4 5 then it started to freeze on songs then finally it restarted and cleanred all my songs. Now I'm trying to reformat it and start fresh and get the crap off the ipod so it is back to factory and it won't update it just keeps saying waiting for ipod waiting for ipod. Itunes wont' evenp ick it up

What do you guys suggest?

oh also when I plug it to the computer it says do not disconnect like normal but when I unplug it it stays like that. Also my blue tooth headphones don't work anymore either

CAN I FORMAT THIS THING OR WHAT?!

It sounds like it may be knackered. Might be worth filling out a Service Request on Apple's website.

just booted it up in disk mode worked fine then reformated it and it works flawlessly. The headphones were defective so fixed that
