Videora is a great program, however, many have reported that the H264 converted videos won't transfer to the iPod. A work around for this is to encode at SP instead of H264. Now I already started converting using Videora using H264 and feel I may have to redo them (I don't have my 5G iPod yet).

Do a search on the forum or Google for a link to the download. It's freeware. It looks just like the PSP Video 9 software but it is for iPod.

I highly recommend this software ... it's soooo easy to use and conversions are very quick (my full length movies averaged about 1.5 hours to convert).

Pam :)

BTW ... I used DVD Decrypter to extract the VOB file to the hard drive before using Videora to do the compression/conversion. That program is great and free, as well.

Not having much luck with videora. It worked with an avi and an MP4 from my digital camera, but it does bupkiss for mpg mpeg types. Trying other software

You can use any program capable of converting, aslong as you get your settings right. I use Nero Recode on 'Standard' to convert my avi/mpeg/ files, and Videora with DVD Shrink/Decrypter to rip and convert DVD's.
