Got the Replacement Ipod and still have the old one
Hi, I just asked for a replacement nano within 10 days after the first one arrived coz it got all scratched...u know the nanos...
...now the new one arrived and i still have the old one coz they said someone would have phoned me to arrange for taking it back but noone have called yet...
So now I have 2 nanos...
What if noone calls? or if i lost the old one?or if it got stolen? or maybe i give it to the courier and he lost it? i mean, now i have the replacement nano,for which i'm responsible and everything, what is my actual responsibility for the old one?

keep it around in case they come for it. It would suck if you lost or sold it and then apple said you were responsible for returning it.
I've been able to keep some broken PC equipment that was replaced because the manufacturers didn't want the broken items back.

so u think apple could say i'm responsible for it?...well and what could they do? i mean even if for example i broke it? could they asked for a refund? that would suck indeed

ok...that's for sure...i'm just curious about what apple can actually do against customers...I heard of people selling ipod thay have had a replacement for...and another thing: could my replacement nano be a used one???

It is possible that it is a refurb, but most likely not. considering how long they have been on the market

and what about people selling ipod they got replacement for? i mean you know of apple banning customers or suing them or things like that?

Well, I assume they would take some legal action against you. I mean, you are stealing $250 from them. It's just as bad as walking into a bank, and stealing $250.

actually, it would be like a bank giving you a loan and forgetting to ask you to pay it back. But when they remember, you will have to pay back.
What is the rush? Just wait and see what happens.

Were there any instructions in the box the replacement nano. Perhaps you were supposed to put the old one into the box and send it back. That is the way some exchanges will take place. I find it amazing they sent you one before asking you to send the other back.
If you commit fraud, be prepared to be charged for the replacement.
The new iPod you received is possibly a refurbished model and not necessary "fresh from the factory" but could be.

Thnx guys...I just got a phone call from the courier...they're gonna take the old nano and give it back to apple...
