If you too are awaiting the one with the cyclopean infrared receiver, my universal dock shipped this morning. Yawn. After already receiving the 5G video, all else pales in comparison. But still, they are shipping and far earlier than promised.

Now I need the remote I didn't think I'd ever need until I started connecting my 3G iPod to the stereo in our bedroom and discovered, wow, that would be handy.

(I agonized over whether to post this here or in accessories. Really I did. But I figured most people interested in the new full-size iPod docks are the same people interested in the new full-size iPods.)
