I use the ABT iJet and love it.

I agree with the quality of the ABT iJet. I just wish it worked with my Nano. The radion signal range is great. Supposedly they're working on a more feature filled remote (for 2006) which will allow you to navigate the iPod screen more completely from the remote and switch from Playlists to Albums, etc.

I think i'm gonna wait and see how the new apple universal dock shapes up, although slightly more costly at 50GBP for the dock, remote and inserts it looks like i can use it more seamlessly with different ipods.

I love my airclick but unfortunately I will not be able to use it if I get the 5G.

I am waiting to see what other remotes they bring out for the 5G. I don't want the one you have to buy the universal dock with as I already have a dock which should work with the 5G.

I want to use the remote without the dock and the way I read it .. the new 5G remote only works with the dock.

So it depends which ipod you want to use it with.

I only really feel the need for the remote when i dock my ipod and use it with my hi-fi, so i'm not bothered about portability.

for those of you with AirClick, I was wondering about portability... I'm thinking about getting one for commuting etc.

Do you use it without connecting the iPod up to a power supply, (I read that Z4Cane uses his in the car, I'm assuming that you have a pocer cable for the iPod?) so what is battery life like when on the move? (does the receiver run off it's own batteries or from the iPod?)

Also if using on trains etc, do you find that the signal drops because of other interfering signals? (even though it's close range?)

Sorry for crashing the thread, it was on the first page of the forum, so I figured I'd ask.

Thanks,
Aaron

Airclick is portable and you can use it on the go. It draws power from the ipod itself but it also has an internal battery which is supposed to last the life of the remote ?? Not sure, I haven't opened it up.

About interference I am not sure but it never has given me any problems.

That all sounds good to me.

Thanks.
