OK to keep iPod in dock for a long time?

Just got a dock and was wondering when I had it plugged into my iBook, and its on the screen that says "charged", is it ok to keep it on there? I ejected the iPod so the HDD wouldnt spin, but is there any chance that "charged" screen could burn into the iPod screen? Can I keep it plugged in all the time worry free?

Leaving good Lithium Ion batteries in the dock for extended periods (up to a couple weeks) should not cause any problem, as long as they do not get warm. If you feel ANY heat, unplug them.

you shouldn't do that, even though it does immediately stop when you it's done charging. there are still charging going on. because of that, this can burn out the battery. and that would ruin it and you'll be on the list of complaining battery people.

isent the battery constantly cahrging because the minute amount of energy required to display anything on that screen but is imedeitly replased. so i think it would be a bad thing. .... maybe i should stop sleeping to my ihome :-\
