Help with managing library in itunes

Ok here goes,

I am slowly using itune a bit more everyday, its a year long process. My program of choice right now is musicmatch jukebox but I enjoy the shuffle of itunes. Heres my question.

I do all my editing of music tracks in MusicMatch because frankly it is much easier to edit many songs and it has a data base that looks up song even if they are not on a cd and auto tags it for you. Since I am doing this, I occasionally come across duplicate songs.

I delete them off my computer when I find them.

Problem is, when I load up Itunes, it recognizes that the song is gone, but there is no way in the world that I want to go through 1500 songs looking for the little ! next to the songs. Is there anyway to have itunes just "check watchfolders" or something like musicmatch jukebox does and delete all the files that are not on the computer? Since Itunes doesnt delete them they stay on my ipod which is annoying. Anyway to remove them rather quickly?

Another odd thing I have ran into but am not really expecting a solution to, when I update the tag on MMJB the tag caries over to Itunes but the rating disappears and it appears that the rating doesn not follow the song, which is what I expected. Any way to fix this?

Also I am planing on upgrading and getting a new 5g ipod. will the album art from mmjb carry over or will I have to go through and do it on itunes also?

Hopefully some one will be at least able to answer my first question.

Thanks
Ben

Alas, there is no such feature in iTunes. Closest we get is to periodically manually use the Add Folder to Library option to rescan a whole folder.Since Itunes doesnt delete them they stay on my ipod which is annoying. Anyway to remove them rather quickly? Are you sure? If a file doesn't exist I can't see how it gets copied to the iPod.Another odd thing I have ran into but am not really expecting a solution to, when I update the tag on MMJB the tag caries over to Itunes but the rating disappears and it appears that the rating doesn not follow the song, which is what I expected. Any way to fix this? I believe the iTunes ratings are stored in the iTunes databases files, so editing any tags in MMJB won't reflect in iTunes - you'll have to rate all your songs in iTunes. Also I am planing on upgrading and getting a new 5g ipod. will the album art from mmjb carry over or will I have to go through and do it on itunes also? Assuming MMJB adds album art to the file by embedding it in the same way most other programs do then it should be fine.
