2 accounts on one computer

Can iTunes installed on one computer have songs from two different accounts? In other words, if I have my own iTunes account and my wife has a separate iTunes account, can they both co-exist in the same library?

I have the same question. I figured the answer would be in the old forum, but I had a hard time trying to search for articles in that forum. Any help would be appreciated.
