What skins/cases fit my iPod?
This is the iPod I have:

I bought it at Best Buy for 250. I've been searching on eBay for a while trying to find a protective skin/case for it. From my research, I have found that there are different sizes because of the various models of iPods out there. There's the 3G, 4G, 5G, etc. I believe I have the 4G. Correct me if I am wrong on that. The funny thing is, I believe there is a 4G iPod that is not color - it's grey colored.
Are these two iPods different sizes, or different generations? I am a bit confused. If anyone can help me out to tell me what generation iPod I have, and what the difference is between mine and the grey iPod in regards to generation and size with skins/cases, that'd be great.

You have the 4G color iPod. Any case for the 4G and 4G color iPod will fit. 3G and below iPod cases won't work as they have totally different shapes from the 4G iPods. You would be right about that "funny thing." Monochrome (grey colored) 4G iPods were out WAY before color iPods. I have a 4G 40GB monochrome iPod meaning it doesn't have a color screen. iPods did not get color screens until last year.
I don't recomend getting a skin on eBay. If you want THE BEST skins out there then go to www.iskin.com The eVo2 series will work just fine, just make sure to get size A
If for some reason you don't want iSkin then any skin that fits 20GB 4G color iPods or 4G 20GB monochrome iPods will work just fine. This is the new case I have:

It is a little wild but it is the blue (rebel) model. It protects my iPod even more than my Contour showcase which is also another good case.
