I recently noticed that my volume down button on my shuffle is less responsive than the volume up button. When I press it, sometimes it responds normally, other times it won't do anything at all. Outside a case, I can just push a little harder and it works fine, but inside a case it's hard to do. I checked the Apple site, apparently I'm _just_ outside my free shipping warranty thing, it's apparently going to cost me $35 to have it looked at. With an AppleCare extension being $47 w/ education discount, that seems a little ridiculous, not to mention the fact that it's a little over 1/3rd the price I paid for it. No Apple stores within a few hundred miles...any ideas?
