zCover Reviews Anyone?

Hi All! I was just wondering if anyone has recieved their zCover nano case yet. I am aware that there was another topic similar to this however now it seems to have disappeared from the forums. If you have any experience with the zCover nano case, you have found a review on it, or you have a working link to the old topic then please post! :-) Thanks

I can't post a link, but Search for "zCover Review" on Apple Discussions.

iLuvYuu,
The other thread was removed - please read the announcement in this forum regarding zCover - two persons in that thread shared the same IP and were "promoting" Zcover products. We have made it clear we will not tolerate any underhand activity to promote ANY product in these forums.
Where there is evidence that such activity is taking place we reserve the right to terminate accounts and/or remove posts/threads.

I'm waiting for my order to come in. They've already shipped it. Will let you know when received. (This is for my daughter's nano. She wanted the lime green and the company is sending two skins, one with lariat and one without. Looked like a good deal to me.

Just received my z Cover cases today, and I am extremely pleased with them. I have actually only used the one with the lanyard. The nano inserted very easily and is COMPLETELY covered. The separate little piece that covers the nano screen is fantastic. It is absolutely clear, rigid, and protects the screen without impairing readability in any way.

Yes, it is a bit difficult at times to use the scroll wheel--one must develop the habit of using more pressure--but the protection is worth it, in my opinion. Also, the hold switch is a little tricky to use, but again, the complete coverage of the nano makes this worthwhile.

I am a bit of snob, having used a Vaja Case for my 3G iPod for years; I wanted something really substantial and with an excellent belt clip. The days of needing a belt clip are over, though, with the nano. I can toss the z Covered nano in my pocket without fear, and I can hang it around my neck no matter what I am wearing.

I purchased the "ice clear" version, and have a white nano. Couldn't be happier with the appearance. This case is all that I will need.

Thank you MadPict for the info (I had no idea that was going on) and thank you Stensvaag for the brief review. I still however have a couple of questions for Stensvaag...
1. Does this case add a lot of extra bulk to the nano?
2. How does the ice clear look on a white nano? Does it look foggy?
3. How is the texture of the case? Is it too rubbery?
4. Does getting the nano in and out of the case cause scratching?

1. Judgement call on this, but it adds (in my opinion) the least amount of bulk possible, consistent with good protection.

2. I like it very much. The insert over the screen looks especially sharp. Foggy or not will be a judgment call. Sorry.

3. Hmm. Too rubbery? I like the ribbed sides, and the greater assurance that it is unlikely to slip out of my fingers. It's just my opinion, but I find the tactile feel to be ideal.

4. Probably. I don't intend to ever take the nano in and out of the case. Period. I intend to keep the case on the nano at all times. I originally kept the sticky thing from Apple over the front, but I've now thrown that away. I guess I just feel that my nano is now complete and will remain in this configuration (with the case on) at all times.

I was considering the Ice Clear case as well and was also wondering how it would look on the white nano. C'mon can't you comment on how the color looks? Is the Ice Clear just a completely clear case? I'm assuming you like it. :)

How about the screen protector. Is it easy to put on? Do you put it on before you slide the case on?

Are you able to access the hold button on both cases, or just one and which?

I'm waiting to buy my nano, after I figure out what to do as far as a case. Hopefully I'll have my decisions finalized because I'm itching to go purchase this weekend.

Iggystar, it seems as though we are in the same situation and right now I am SO tempted to go out and just buy it!

I don't know what more I can say. It is about as clear (probably) as the materials can be. Someone on the Apple forum asked how it looks from a distance; I'd say that from a distance, it looks like a nano.

The screen protector goes on relatively easily--you slide it in AFTER the case is on--but I will NOT be taking the nano in and out of the case, because it takes a bit of effort, and I can't imagine why I would want to go to that effort when I can already access the USB port without taking the case off.

I have only tried the lanyard case, but they seem to be identical in all respects except for the bottom. I can access the hold button, but it takes a little effort. I don't mind in the least, given the tradeoff of having a fully covered nano.

LMAO!!! I just placed my order for an ice clear original immediately after seeing Stensvaag's first "glowing" review. The only thing I'd like to add would be a clip for the gym. I'll be ordering the incase neoprene sleeve as well to compare.

As soon as I get my ice clear I'll post an obscene amount of hi-res pics for all!!

Jod ;-)

:D

Thanks for the additional info. Now I'm able to narrow down my choices.

Apple Store, here I come!

I got the zCover (blue) cases and I am not happy with it. I can't raise the volume or control the menus with the cover on. I tried using more pressure, but that doesn't help. You can only slide your finger across it so hard before it registers an unwanted click. They do not have a phone number on their website and so far my email has gone unanswered.

Has anyone had the same issue and found a solution.

Other than that, the case looks great!

i got mine today...i see what your saying about not moving.when you slide your fingers in a circular motion around the wheel, then it wont work effectively. You just have to keep sliding your fingers up and down.

other than that, im impressed.
