Safeist way to delete songs

This kind of bugs me, but what is the safeist way to delete songs from my nano. If I have alot of songs to delete, say albums, is it smart to do a restore or is it safe to just delete whatever you don't want? I would imagine it wouldn't hurt to delete the songs since it is flash based. Just wondering, thanks.

This is something you never have to worry about, iTunes takes care of it all. Flash or Hard Disk based the equipment is designed to read and write. Deleting is just another write operation.

Why would it "hurt??" What's the logic here?

When u delete, the Nano doesn't go through the whole memory and go "scratch-scratch..." it just simply removes the DIRECTORY ENTRY of what your are deleting. Just like a PC. But u already knew that right.
