Transferring music from CD to iPod
Just bought by first iPod (nano) - Have tried searching the forums for the answer to this, as I'm sure it has been answered before - but no luck!
Is there any way of transferring music from a CD straight to the ipod without having to copy it on my computer before? Just don't want to take up my hard drive on my computer with all the CD's that I want to transfer on to my ipod!

You WILL want a copy of all your transfered CD's on your computer, as when you drop and destroy your iPod or it goes faulty or gets stolen, you'll be happy that you have another copy of all the electronic music back on your computer. If you've been reading these forums then you'll already realise that the iPod is not infalable.

I bought it from Best Buy on sale for $100. For now, just load all of your music on your computer, so you can enjoy your nano right away. Once you get the flash drive, load all of your music from your computer to your portable drive. Then, take all of the music off your computer's hard drive. But, congrads on your new nano! (Which color did you get?)

Thank you both for your responses. Right, so i do have to import the cd's to my comp first then.

no problem r_s! Just make sure you shop around for portable flash drives. You can find some good deals if you wait it out and look hard. Mine came w/ a $50 rebate. Be patient and wait for sales/deals. Enjoy your nano!
