Hi, yes, I'm a (near) clueless old ma who does not have much time to learn all this new stuff! We have an older computer--put-together by computer wizard friends--doesn't even have a name on it, but it does have 128 MB of RAM, 400 MHz processor and Windows 98.

Daughter received Ipod Nano. I read in another forum, but this was referring to the ipod shuffle, that she should be able to go to a friends house who has Windows xp, use the ipod disk and install to the ipod there. Then bring it home to our computer, go to winamp.com to upload files & an ipod plugin.

Does this sound right for the nano? She uses ares lite and has all her music downloads there--can she get them onto her ipod? THANKS for not laughing too loud...
