Why Nano? only cause of its small size?

Hi

im wondering why people would go and buy the nano?

its only 4GB...

When people love music and love to have all their music in 1 device, the 4GB i think is not enough...

the only reason i feel is the look and size of the device.

I personaly rather buy a bigger device (not real big, such as the 60GB)....and save more music

Just a thought wanted to share.

I have a 20GB also with my entire music library on it but when I'm driving there are some songs I don't want to listen to. So I'll be using my nano in the car and school.

Well, cant u create playlists for the car and school? then u can play it and it will play only the songs u want.

I have a 20 gig ipod, but i got the nano to be the first on my school to have one, and also because in person its awesome, so small, and i use it to run (much lighter, and no worries about shaking the hard disk to death)

size matters.

i had a 20, but realized that i don't listen to 90% of my huge collection. i just listen to the same 10% of songs all the time. so 4gb is enough. and i go to the gym all the time and the small size is perfect. like the others said flash = no skipping.

I don't see a need to carry around 60 gigs worth of music in my pocket. I figure 4 gigs is plenty enough to last me for about a week of listening, then I can re-sync and change the songs around from iTunes. 4GB is the sweet spot.

Average 1000 songs x 4 min/song = 4000 minutes/60 = 66.6 hours of music/24 = 2.7 days of continuous music without sleeping.

Yeah 4GB is enough for me.

if you want all of your music with you all the time, a nano is not for you.

if you find yourself listening to only a certain percentage of your music library often, buy a nano. if you exercise/run often while listening to music, but don't want to weigh yourself down: buy a nano.

personally, i love the nano b/c it's so durable. usually, once you drop a hard drive so many times, that's it. but with flash, you're pretty much worry-free. (only dropped mine twice)

i love music. i love it so much i studied it for 3 years in college, wrote some classical pieces, did a little jazz, etc.

but i don't feel the need to carry all of my music with me. i use it 6hrs a day, max. no point in carrying 12gigs of music for 6hrs of listening.

One day, u start humming something, and then u realize it' that song, wip out the iPOD and arrrggghhhh, that song that u want to listen to NOW is one that u left behind arrrrrrgggghhh.

I call it mood-induced song recollection.

Never happened to any of u?

i got it because it's flash. period.

I also only have 6 gb of music (all ripped to 192 aac), so i have most of the stuff i listen to on it. Perfect for the gym, running, car, school, etc...

Any other iPod looks like a brick next to it.

Personally, when I bought the mini, I loved the way it looked, and I thought "dang, it only has 4 gigs, ive got like 10". I never even filled the thing up. Im the type of person that gets bored of music quickly, so I constantly change music around. Most I ever had was 500 songs, I think.

i guess you're right. however if i had enough money i would buy a nano and just carry it around for easier use.

1. Size
Size matters to me. I just can't carry the iPod 20GB in my pocket.
It's big, but nano is just perfect.

2. Capacity
I am type of person who only needs to carry songs that I wanna
listen to. Like maybe 500~700 songs. Don't need to carry 10,000.

3. Design
I think the Nano looks so good. Just love the design.

I guess a better question would be,

Why would people need to have over 3 days worth of music in their pocket when there battery won't last that long and they'll have to hook up to a computer anyway?

How did these "its only 4gb" people survive with discman and walkmans when you could only get 15 tracks on one disc in a large device? Have you seen a nano, its makes ipods look like bricks
