Need help connecting Nano FAST!

Hey ok I just got a Nano yesterday and whenever I connect it iTunes says no iPod connected in the Preferences! And when I look for it connected on My Computer it doesn't show it or the G drive. Could this be my computers problem or the iPod or what can I do? Thanks.

Did you install the driver-software?
Perhaps it's still mac-formated!

i installed the cd it came with first, even though i had itunes.

then i pluged it in and it found it right away.

I installed the cd it came with and it connected once when I didn't need it to but then I d/l 5.01 and now it's not working. I'll try deleting iTunes and using the installation CD again.

*EDIT*
I heard you have to charge the iPod 24 hours before it can get songs or be connected or something. Is this true?

I just called Apple and explained everything they told me that I should try deleting iTunes and d/ling the software for 9-23-2005 that is supposed to reset your iPod? I think atleast and that's what I did but my iPod still won't connect right so I'll have to call them back. IMPORTANT question though, how many installation CDs is the Nano supposed to come with? I got 1 but I think the support asked if I had installed BOTH cds which got me wondering. Did Apple mess up my order?

i only got 1 cd with my nano. just says ipod on the side, so your good there.

do as they said, and give an update.
