shouldve bought the 4gig nano!

ook i went from a 15gig ipod 3GEN TO A 2gig Black nano. definatly a big jump but yeah i def shouldve gotten the 4gig but yeah the 2gig was the only black nano they had left in stock at my local store and i didnt want to wait till they got more becuase i didnt know when. and im starting the to think i should of gotten the white one becuase the black one shows all the scratches caused by nothing and the finger prints but yeah i think the white one is kinda ugly. sorry thats just my opinion. anyone else have regrets. but i still love my iPod of course.

Honestly, rushing isn't always the best idea when purchasing items at a high-priced range. Usually it takes a lot of planning and patience to get what you really really want. You'll regret it if by Christmas Season everyone has a 4g nano because they waited for it and you've got a 2g due to impatience ;)

lol. well thankyou for making me feel even worse about my impatience. haha. but yeah i probably will get a 4g or when they make a bigger one ill try and get that with my money but you know what its all good becuase im not going to listen to all the songs i have a on a 2gig anyway. so everything is all good. im saving my money for my musical cast trip to New York and i definatly cant waste it on another ipod. ill save some money on the side for tubes and screen protectors and everything will be all good. thankyou Brainhunter you kinda made me think.

yeah i feel the same way too. i have the black 2 gig cause they didnt have the 4 gig in black when i got it. i have a 10 gig 3rd generation ipod and i barely have 988 songs after almost 3 years. the 2 gig seems to small but it will probably be quite a while until i fill it up. it's gonna suck though when everyone has one after christmas and they all have the 4 gig and i feel like mines is all old. hopefully mine screws up enough to the point i can return it and just pay the difference for the 2 extra gigs.

I'm glad I returned the 2 gig nano for a 4 gig nano for my daughter (thanks to a thread on the subject). I had to go for the black, but she'll have it in a case anyway...

I'd think about selling it around Xmas time. I bet you can get pretty close to what you paid for it if you sell it a couple of weeks before Xmas (when the iPods are gone from the stores!!)

i got the 4gb white nano for those exact reasons:
-black shows scratches more
-4gb is bigger than 2gb :P

For a 25% increase in cost, you get a 100% increase in capacity. It was an easy decision for me.

all i have to say is best buy rocks. i bought a 2 gig (black) on 9/14 because they didn't have the 4 gig in stock. at the time, i thought the 2 gig would be more than adequate (i was coming from a 256mb iriver!).

but, after falling prey to a pair of shure e4 earphones (WOW!), i found myself ripping songs at a much higher bit rate - since the e4's sound SO good!

once i started doing that, 2 gig seemed much, much smaller.

so, i'm at my local best buy today taking back the shure e2c's i bought just last week (i have a bad case of upgrade-itus, what can i say?), and i noticed that they finally had 4 gigs in stock, albeit only two. so, i ask the fella behind the counter if he thinks i'd be able to bring back my three week old 2 gig and pay the $50 difference for the 4 gig. he said as long as it was in the 30 day money back period, i should be golden. i had him hold it while i ran home to grab the box and receipt. 30 minutes later i was back to finalize the deal. with little fanfare, i was in and out in minutes.

so, now, i'm sitting here with twice as much space and a shiny new nano! :D

Well said. Ive been to my local wal mart ad radio shack, and theyre the only places that have the ipod in my town. Theyve all got the 2gig black nano. Im patiently waiting to get my 4gig white nano. Also gonna wait to open it until the film from power support is available for sale :)

i wonder if they would do that at the apple store. i got a black 2 gig cause they didnt have the 4 gig in black. did you have to take all your music and photos off of it before you returned it?
