How to turn off "Disk Mode"

i'm trying to run podUtil and it says i need to turn off "Disk Mode" on iTunes first. how do i do this?

when the ipod is connected to itunes, click the ipod icon in the lower right hand corner and uncheck the option "Enable Disk Use".
