Water Damage?!
Please choose the appropriate forum for this topic. Thank you. Please choose the appropriate forum for this topic. Thank you. Lets say that i have this "friend" whos iPod fell out of his pocket and into his driveway. When my "friend" got home he found the iPod with leaves and soaked in water, because its been raining for a week and a half here. After practicaly breaking down in tears to find "his" iPod "he" turns it on and by some miracle it still works!??!? This thing is a tank! The next day "he" uses it and sees moisture on the inside screen forming... :\
Anyone have any ideas how I can get this to dry out, I mean my "friend":D? Or other experiences you've had with water and your iPod?
Thanks,
Sean

Silica Gel, the stuff that you get little packets of with electronic equipment. Get a shed load of this and put it in a sealed environment with the iPod. The gel will suck all the moisture from the air and the iPod. Not sure how long with would take though.

Or open it up as fast as possible. The scratches you might make are nothing compared to a total failure.
I know what I am speaking about, "my friends" car fell into the water, and the ipod was inside. He hesitated to open it, and dead it is now.
A good reason to get a new one, at least I had good timing!
Oops, he had good timing I meant.
