Songs not being copied in their entirety
I've got a feeling that this is just the beginning of yet another 4G iPod death at my hands (I'm on #5 in just over a year's time).
Sometimes my iPod doesn't mount, sometimes it freezes, yadda yadda, but what's really infuriating is that, when it does work and I can copy songs from iTunes to the iPod, I'll get in my car and find out it didn't copy the endings, or the files are somehow corrupted and the iPod hangs halfway through. The files seem fine (iTunes has no problem with them, and I can burn them to a CD just fine).
Any ideas?

There's a thread or two here and at Hydrogenaudio.com about the iPod "skipping" on certain tracks. Certain iPod models and certain types of music files (especially VBR mp3) seem especially affected by this. The tracks play fine in iTunes on the computer. Maybe that's what's happening to you.
I've never seen a solution anywhere, except to re-import the affected tracks at non-variable bit rates, or get an iPod model that doesn't have this problem.
