iPod Hard Drive Settings?

Hi.

I'm hoping someone can help here. About 6 months ago, I somehow managed to get into an "advanced settings" menu on my iPod. The iPod froze on me, and I did the usual reboot of it (holding down menu + play/pause). Once the apple appeared, I think I hit some other buttons, and managed to get into this menu which seemed to allow me to defragment the drive, run a scan disk and numerous other things. I scrolled through the list, and there were at least 30 options. Has anyone else seen this? If so, any idea how to get back into this?

Thanks.

Is this the diagnostics mode?

You get into it by doing the following:

1. You need to restart your iPod before putting it into Diagnostic Mode.

2. Press and hold the following combination of buttons buttons simultaneously for approximately 10 seconds to reset the iPod.
iPod 1G to 3G: "Menu" and "Play/Pause"
iPod 4G+ and Mini: "Menu" and "Select"

3. The Apple logo will appear and you should feel the hard drive spinning up. Press and hold the following sequence of buttons:
iPod 1G to 3G: "REW", "FFW" and "Select"
iPod 4G+ and Mini: "Back" and "Select"

You will hear an audible chirp sound (3G models and higher) and the Apple logo should appear backwards. You are now in Diagnostic Mode.
