Getting Rid of Fontopia MDR-EX71SL (need replacement!)

I'm getting rid of these headphones...I really like the sound but I can't stand the length on these headphones...it's so difficult to work with them when they're so long. Also, the rubber on the cords is a magnet for dirt....they're filthy and I honestly don't feel like sitting down and trying to clean them after every use. Can anyone recommend me headphones for around the price range of the ex71's? As I said earlier, I liked the sound they produced so I'm really just looking for a similar pair of phones.

the 51's have a shorter cord, and do not have that annoying extension
i'm pretty sure that the 51 and 71 are the same sounding

as for yer cleaning problem, get a black pair

Shure E2C's can be had for about $60 online. Much better sound, symmetrical cord (normal Y shaped), and MUCH higher quality than the MDR-EX series.

i heard the cord is really thick though...does it drag the phones out of your ear because of the weight?

do you have any links where they have them for 60 bucks?

also...does anyone know how long the shure's are?
