Today in our local Hyper Market (Cora near Strasbourg) I saw for only 299 a box of replacement foam covers for ear buds, from Thompson.

For that you get three pairs, one pair yellow, one pair red and one pair black.

having always lost those damn things , I removed the padlock from the wallet and splashed out -
They are a tighter foam than the Apple stock ones, and actually quite tricky to get on.
Once on they seem more secure than the original ones.

I have put a yellow one on the left speaker and a red one on the right, so I can tell them apart when I am half asleep in the morning - or was it the other way around ? Oh Well.

Seems to be identical for listening as the Apple ones and sit as snuggly - or as bad as the Apple stock ones depending on your opinion on them.

As Thompson is pretty available Europe wide - dunno about the states or elsewhere - and those pretty colours too.

When I asked in another thread - someone said Radio Shack or Tandy had them for 10 USD's - so they seem keenly priced.
