OMG! PLEASE HELP ME, i renamed ipod and lost my music,!
hey
iam new to the ipod thing and i recently got a video 30gb ipod...well i renamed my ipod and my music or photos doesnt show up! but when i check my "about" selection it says only 15 gb left so it seems to still be on my ipod just cant find it!! You could try to restore the ipod with the ipod software and then send the stuff over again.
I have the same ipod as you and i being an ipod 1st timer also had a few difficulties (not so that the ipod or itunes was defective but rather me not being familiar with the controls and usage) but i simply restored the ipod and then fired up itunes and it placed all my music back on the ipod including album art with no hesitation.

You should always ALWAYS keep a back up on your commy just incase the ipod plays up which chances are it will somewhere down the line or if theres an accident

You can go into my computer
(if your on windows) and copy the files off of your ipod info>music section. They will look like a lot of folders but when you drag them to your library they will appear as music. That worked for me when my ipod acted up.
